As part of an urban landscaping project in Mornant, we applied our full expertise to enhance the park surrounding the Media Library and the Cultural Centre of the Chapelle. This historically rich site called for a landscaping scheme that matched its cultural and architectural value. Our goal was to preserve the site’s character while creating comfortable relaxation areas for visitors.
The presence of centuries-old trees presented a unique opportunity to install shaded seating areas, perfect for relaxing with friends or family. At the same time, we paid close attention to the harmonisation of materials, to enhance the stone buildings and maintain the site’s identity.

PRESERVING AESTHETICS AND DURABILITY
To integrate seamlessly with the existing architecture, we designed square urban planters in powder-coated aluminium, inspired by the C-NATURA collection. To match the tones of the chapel, we selected a Mars 2525 sand-textured finish, which evokes the warm look of corten steel. For the seating areas, we incorporated exotic wood slats, creating a welcoming and social atmosphere. Thanks to aluminium’s lightness and the natural durability of exotic wood, these elements are weather-resistant while lending the park a contemporary feel. Combined with the shade from the mature trees, the integrated seating offers inviting spots to pause and relax in the heart of the green space.

SYNERGIE benches: comfort and modularity
To provide a variety of seating options, we installed several SYNERGIE benches throughout the park. Made of steel with anti-corrosion protection and a powder-coated Mars 2525 sand-textured finish, the benches blend seamlessly with their surroundings. The exotic wood seat and backrest provide optimal user comfort.
Their layout also allows visitors to choose between sun or shade, depending on their preference. These benches create spaces for reading, relaxing, conversation or contemplation, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the park.

A corten water table as a central focal point
At the centre of the park stands a round water table made of sanded and activated corten steel, highlighting the cultural identity of the site. With its 1,400 mm diameter and minimalist design, the fountain draws the eye while paying tribute to the location’s heritage. Over time, the corten develops a natural patina, revealing warm, evolving tones. This material gives the project a strong visual identity, while the soft sound of the water provides a sense of calm. Together, these features create a visual and auditory landmark around which the landscape naturally unfolds.
