A green transformation planned for summer 2024
In 2024, the school authorities called on us to produce aluminium edging to green the schoolyard and add shade and nature.
The design is structured around an existing steel framework allowing shade sails to be stretched overhead.
We arranged the aluminium kerb and bottomless planters around the perimeter to create shaded zones with benches and vegetation.

Seating made from European robinia wood
To encourage relaxation, we added seating in raw robinia wood along the edging. This material was selected for its excellent outdoor durability.
Each corner was equipped with rubber protection to ensure a high level of safety for school use.
A safe and lasting installation
Our aluminium kerb was manufactured using precision folding processes to guarantee the highest quality.
The bottomless planters and edging promote root development and efficient drainage—ensuring a durable layout that resists weather and heavy foot traffic from pupils.
Positive feedback: comfort and conviviality regained
Initial feedback shows that both pupils and staff appreciate these shaded areas, which offer spaces to relax and chat outside the classroom.
The presence of greenery also cools the playground and enhances the overall school environment.
To further the project to green the schoolyard, the school is already planning to add more plant species and possibly new urban furniture modules to extend the experience.
