ATECH is committed to providing what’s needed to shape tomorrow’s public space under the AGEC law. To begin with, we aim to profoundly transform our system — this is the purpose of the anti-waste law for a circular economy, which consists of 130 articles written to fight all forms of waste. The law was created to shift our economy from a linear model — produce, consume, discard — to a circular model: produce, consume, recycle/reuse.

Overall, the law breaks down into five key areas:

  • Ban single-use plastic ;
  • better inform consumers;
  • fight waste and support reuse and donation;
  • act against planned obsolescence ;
  • produce better.

As a first step, we have committed to a dedicated CSR policy focused on the environment. Within this approach, embracing the circular economy and the AGEC law seems natural, as these principles reflect everything we implement daily.

Discover our solutions integrating the agec law

Because we’re committed to developing Nature in the city, this article highlights our solutions focused on waste management: from biowaste recovery to selective sorting in public space and the standardisation of sorting bins. We also stress our commitment to the circular economy through the development of urban furniture made with recycled and repurposed materials. Our products incorporate materials from second-hand sources and reuse, helping to build public space solutions that are more respectful of the environment.

Waste management and greening

Educating citizens about waste sorting

Our DUALIS sorting bins feature up to 3 compartments and promote effective sorting. For example, the city of Bréhal in France has already adopted several of our bins. These solutions raise public awareness of responsible practices and encourage better habits.

Highlighting Biowaste

The Idylle composter is made using wooden slats from reused window frames — just like the FreshCity project. This furniture supports the AGEC law thanks to its sustainable design. It promotes greener habits through composting.

Reuse and Repurposed Materials

In 2022, we launched our first urban garden, FreshCity, made with reused wood. In 2023, we introduced the Idylle composter, designed by Jérôme Boissière, also made with reused materials. This year, we launched our repainting service. If you have unused furniture, we collect it, repaint it to match your preferences, and give it new life.

Recycling plastic pots and hanging items

We collect used plastic pots and hanging pots to create new urban greening products. Pots are recycled into growing containers, while hanging planters are reused in new floral compositions.

Products using recycled materials

We’ve long developed furniture with recycled plastic. Our growing containers are made with recyclable, reusable polypropylene. Our hanging pots are made with 30% oyster shell waste. We also offer benches made with recycled plastic slats: the SYNERGIE range reflects our commitment to circular economy principles.

Concluding Our Vision

At ATECH, we are committed to urban greening within the circular economy. Projects like FreshCity, the SYNERGIE range or our growing containers demonstrate our goal: to rethink urban furniture by using recycled or reused materials. We aim to offer products that are both aesthetic and sustainable, promoting greener and more responsible urban development.
