Custom urban furniture for an outdoor space in your image
The Port of Liège is enhancing its facilities with urban furniture to improve the aesthetics and safety for users. Discover the urban development project for the Liège marina's waterfront. To assert its visual identity, the city is using the historical colors of its coat of arms to adorn the marina. A colorful development project that energizes and perfectly dresses the Liège marina.
A place with high attendance
The Liège yacht harbor is a key site for river tourism, marked by a strong flow of pleasure boaters. Located on the right bank of the Meuse River, close to the city center, it offers ideal accessibility and direct access to the river.
This marina in Liège can accommodate up to 150 boats thanks to modern infrastructure, with quays and pontoons equipped to ensure comfort and safety.
Faced with this large influx, an urban development project for the riverbanks aims to enhance this strategic location by strengthening the city's attractiveness and visual identity.

Create an attractive and distinctive visual atmosphere
For this outdoor landscaping project, a selection of PASTEL and Extravase planters defines the space and establishes a strong visual identity. By combining different planter models and incorporating a strategic choice of plants and floral arrangements, it becomes possible to structure the space while enhancing its aesthetics.
Color combinations play a role in the success of urban floral design: harmonious and complementary hues create a calming ambiance, while bolder contrasts instill a modern and attractive visual dynamism. This work on plant palettes captures attention and strengthens the image of the place.
Whether it's pastel shades for a soft atmosphere or vibrant colors for a festive and friendly ambiance, custom flower boxes become true staging tools. They transform every outdoor space into a living and immersive landscape composition.

Project development goal
Greening
On the harbor pier, trees line the quay and are planted in bottomless containers. At its end, a green space hosts the famous reproduction of the sculpture The Diver by the artist Idel Ianchelevici, which overlooks the Meuse River.
The port intends to enhance its greenery. To achieve this, numerous flower planters line the jetty. Within the port, PASTEL planters are harmoniously integrated with Extravase planters to create a cohesive visual unity. This establishes a distinct green corridor throughout the port. The diverse vegetation (trees, hanging baskets, and planters of various sizes) creates a dynamic interplay of volumes.
Security
To enhance pedestrian safety, many bollards from the PASTEL range have been installed. They feature specific color schemes to create unity with the installed bins. The chosen colors send a strong signal to motorists while also energizing the area with dynamic colors that echo the city's hues.
Thus, the marina demonstrates thanks through a strong visual identity, its dynamism, and its commitment to offering a green and well-equipped space for various forms of mobility.
Circulation
To encourage residents, users, and visitors to favor soft mobility, bicycle racks are now available on the port on both sides. They offer a practical and secure solution for parking bicycles.
