Trees are supports for biodiversity. They help to decontaminate the atmosphere, store carbon, prevent drought and floods... They also participate in urban landscaping and improve the quality of life.
The development project for this commune was to protect the existing trees by surrounding them with a base. Therefore, an urban garden was the solution.
Custom urban gardens with a conical design
ATECH thus designed and manufactured custom-made open-bottom planters to fit the dimensions of the tree locations. Some were made with bamboo seating. These custom-made urban gardens were manufactured from high-gloss painted steel, in an uncommon blue, reflecting the city's new graphic identity.
Thanks to these custom-made urban gardens, the trees have found a second life and the Montmorillon Market Square A new lease on life.
