AN ARRANGEMENT WITH ORANGERY TUBS SUITABLE FOR THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT
In a prestigious Parisian neighborhood, we imagined and designed custom orangery planters to showcase a unique landscape design and dress up the existing planters.
In November 2017, this project was nominated for the Grand Prix Architecture, Landscape & Heritage competition and received the Bronze Gesture award. Architects Thierry Despont and Atelier Cos led the design, while the companies Les Jardins de Gally, Tricotel, and ATECH were responsible for the execution.
Therefore, this private garden combines elegance, architectural heritage, and technical innovation.
Artisanal know-how and meticulous attention to detail
To reinforce the stability of these orangery planters, we added a 30 mm top return and a 150 mm base. This attention to detail is one of the reasons why the project was praised by the jury of the Grand Prix Architecture, Landscape & Heritage.
To meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of the location, we opted for custom-made, bottomless orangery planters to surround the existing ones. This solution preserved the plantings while limiting maintenance interventions.
The combination of galvanized steel and powder coating gives the whole a sober and refined identity.
The neat finishes and the choice of a pointed post cap bring modernity and elegance to these planters, in perfect harmony with the noble character of the location.
