The plant at the heart of Place Vendôme
As part of the redevelopment of the Place Vendôme in Paris, our planters were integrated to bring a vegetal presence to this iconic environment. This landscaping helps to structure the space while creating a balance between the mineral character of the square and the greenery.
Designed to blend in subtly with this exceptional site, these planters contribute to improving the living environment while enhancing the architectural identity of the location.
Custom planting beds to structure the space and accommodate plants
For this project carried out in collaboration with the landscape architect Gabriel Rochard (Atelier Gabriel) and Vinci Facilities, ATECH has designed and manufactured Custom pre-weathered zinc planters as well as Aéris type orangery bins in order to durably integrate the plant life within this courtyard of honor located near Place Vendôme.
The choice of zinc was made for its sober and elegant aesthetic. Its bluish-gray appearance is reminiscent of the iconic roofs of the capital and blends harmoniously into the site's architectural environment. Beyond its visual qualities, this material is appreciated for its durability, longevity, and ease of maintenance.
To meet the technical requirements of the project, the zinc panels were combined with a structure made of galvanized steel. This combination allows for the mechanical resistance of steel to be combined with the aesthetic qualities of zinc, thus guaranteeing the longevity of the installations.
As part of a sustainability initiative driven by the clients, the project also prioritizes the use of responsible materials, notably PEFC-certified robinia, contributing to the creation of sustainable landscaping in the heart of Paris.
An island of freshness in the service of biodiversity
The objective of this development was to enhance biodiversity and bring more freshness to this highly mineralized environment. Across nearly 500 m² of green space, plantings, pathways, and relaxation areas now create a setting conducive to well-being and urban nature.
To complete this set, a 3-meter water table was also integrated into the project. This water feature contributes to the calming atmosphere of the place and reinforces the character of a plant refuge envisioned for this interior courtyard located in the heart of the capital.
Greenery in the service of heritage
Through this project, greenery enters into dialogue with the iconic architecture of Place Vendôme. The integration of planters enhances the landscape quality of the site while respecting its historical identity.
