Urban landscaping in Mornant

PRESERVE AESTHETICS AND DURABILITY

Echoing the existing architecture, we designed urban square gardens in powder-coated aluminum, inspired by the C-NATURA urban gardens. Nevertheless, to achieve visual consistency with the chapel's hues, we opted for the Mars 2525 textured finish, replicating the warm appearance of corten steel.

Furthermore, for the seating of exotic wood planks, integrated seating is provided to create a convivial space. Thanks to the lightness of aluminum and the naturally durable properties of exotic wood, these elements are weather-resistant while giving the site a contemporary touch.

Finally, the shade provided by the trees, combined with these integrated seating areas, invites genuine relaxation breaks in the heart of the park.

SYNERGIE Benches: Comfort and Modularity

To offer varied relaxation spaces, we have installed several SYNERGIE benches throughout the park. These steel benches, equipped with anti-corrosion protection and a Mars 2525 color powder coating, blend harmoniously into the scenery.

The exotic wood seat and backrest, in turn, offer optimal comfort for users. Furthermore, the arrangement of these benches allows one to choose between a sunny area or a shaded spot, according to personal preference. Thus, residents and visitors can fully enjoy the park, whether for reading, chatting, or simply admiring the surroundings.

A corten water table for a unique focal point

• At the center of the park, the circular, sandblasted, and activated Corten steel water table highlights the cultural aspect of the site. Indeed, this fountain with a diameter of 1,400 mm intrigues with its clean design, while paying homage to the history of the place.

• Furthermore, Corten steel patinates over time, revealing a palette of warm and vibrant hues. Therefore, this choice gives a strong identity to the urban landscape design in Mornant.

• In addition, the gentle sound of water draws attention and invites calm, creating a visual and auditory landmark around which the walk is organized.

Custom fittings to structure spaces

In addition to the benches installed on site, we also created reinforced straight borders in corten steel as well as a custom-made urban garden in painted aluminum.

These features help structure the landscaped areas while bringing aesthetic consistency to the entire project. The borders subtly define the garden beds, while the urban garden enhances the plant life and organizes the different uses of the space.

The combination of Corten steel and painted aluminum creates a harmonious ensemble that naturally integrates into the landscape of Mornant, while ensuring durability and quality of finish.

Thanks to this large-scale project, we highlight ATECH's ability to combine heritage, modernity, and conviviality. The urban landscaping in Mornant allows everyone to enjoy a harmonious space where benches, planters, and a fountain coexist coherently. Finally, these sustainable facilities demonstrate our commitment to thoughtful design and respect for the historical setting.
