LPromenade du Bout du Monde (next to Angers Castle) has been transformed into a welcoming space thanks to custom-designed street furniture. This project, recognized with the «Victoires du Paysage 2018» and winner of the special «Cœur de Ville» prize, illustrates ATECH's expertise in the design and manufacture of furniture made from stabilized corten steel and black locust wood.
Unique furniture to furnish a now iconic promenade
We collaborated closely with local stakeholders, including LNTP Angers, to design and create unique benches and bollards that perfectly matched Angers' historic architectural style. To furnish the promenade, we envisioned urban furniture elements that would combine functionality, aesthetics, and durability through the use of noble and eco-responsible materials:
As part of this promenade's design, the benches were created using high-precision laser cutting. This manufacturing technique achieves clean and refined finishes while creating complex patterns that enhance the design. Consequently, the assembly of the various pieces is optimized, improving the sturdiness and durability of the outdoor furniture. A style that is both contemporary and sophisticated. Finally, these benches perfectly illustrate the combination of design, innovation, and resistance, essential criteria for durable and high-performing urban furniture.

The Bout du Monde promenade is today much more than a simple thoroughfare. This promenade development project, with its benches, sleekly designed bike racks, and matching bollards, offers a space for relaxation and meeting for walkers while highlighting the architectural heritage of the ramparts as well as the surrounding old buildings.
